Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and facilitation of community engagement initiatives, workshops, and awareness campaigns.

  • Provide administrative support to departmental staff and assist with general office tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant degree program in fields such as community safety, transportation management, public administration, or related disciplines.
  • Passion for community safety and an interest in transportation issues in South Africa.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and practices related to community safety and transportation (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license (preferred).
